In our research we are dealing with the formal transfer of know-how. On one hand we examine the legitimacy of trade marks in Hungary and in foreign countries. On the other hand we concetrate on international perception of knowledge transfer, and transmission with support of the comparative literature.

Our research center makes comparative analyzes of the following topics:

• terminology realting to intellectual property rights (law)
• paradigm shift in the national regulation of know-how
• priority of trade secrets
• motivation of both the business community and the researchers of the innovative solutions. Moreover the aspects influencing this strategy.

During our research we investigate the "historical" development of research contracts and the developement of Hungarian judicial practice, focusing especially on the case law of the European Union, proposals and recommendations of the Commission.

• We examine the related Hungarian and foreign literature and applicable legislation, with emphasis on the Anglo-Saxon and German legal system, overviewing the legislation of some of the Balkan countries.
• Furthermore, our task is to find answers to the origin and the foundation of some national solutions.
• We make comparative analyzes of the property rights over intellectual property in the field of research contract.
• We formulate proposals for future legal practise, and publishe our point of view in studies.
